We welcome Aida Rakei, who will be doing her PhD in the lab. Aida will be studying how environmental stress, such as drought, affects microtubule associated proteins and plant growth. 

Also, Biology 432 is a course taught by Dr. Geoff Wasteneys at UBC. This unique course gives students the opportunity to witness research in action as they spend time in labs and learn about cutting edge cell biology techniques. Check out a video made by one of the students, Giulio Sucar, as he documents his time in the Wasteneys Lab.
